series, beginning the week of March 3rd, on Responsible Conduct of
Research (RCR). The RCR seminar was designed to meet the criteria
required by federal training grants supporting graduate students or
trainees. Such grants mandate a structured educational program on the
following RCR topics, which include topics important to all researchers:
Conflicts of Interest
Mentoring
Responsible Authorship and Peer Review
Research Misconduct
Collaborative Science
Data Acquisition and Management
Use of Animals in Research
Use of Human Subjects in Research
The Seminar Series is a case-based discussion held weekly during a 90
minute time slot on dates agreed to by the participants. Last year
the seminar was held over an 8 week period from 5:30-7:00 pm in
Anderson Hall. Participants may attend a portion of the series.
